I, Alan Culler, alone am responsible for its content. These are my writings and I assert all copyrights with regard to them. (There may be other writers who publish guest blogs here and if so, their copyrights will be indicated on the bottom of their blog pages.)
These writings are based upon my experience, but they are opinions. If a reader were to decide on a course of action based upon my opinions, the reader is responsible for his or her decisions and actions.
It is my intention to post and leave comments by readers. I may or may not respond to reader comments. If a reader, leaves a comment and wishes a response, I suggest that he or she contact me through the contact page. I do reserve the right to delete any comments that I deem to be irrelevant to the post or offensive to my other readers.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your name, profile picture, or avatar as provided by you, is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the comments section website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

I will never sell, trade or barter your email address or any personal information you enter to this site. I will not accept advertisements other than for my books when they are published.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For subscribers who register on our website to receive blog posts via email, we will store the personal information they provide in their subscriber profile. Emails of the post will include a function to unsubscribe to emails. The unsubscribe function will stop email post distribution and delete all user information .
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, that are approved and posted, you can request to edit or delete them at any time by using the contact me form. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Subscriber information will be sent to the email distribution service, but will not be available to other clients of the email distribution firm, nor sold, bartered, traded or otherwise distributed to anyone else.
